I do not know much about guitars and was hoping for your help to determine the value of the guitar.
![]() If I recall the guitars carrying the Airline name were sold by Montogomery Wards for only some ten years starting in the late 1950s. Airline, Silvertone, Harmony, Kay you name them were the guitars we dreamed of dumping asap to get a Fender, Gibson or Martin. ![]() For example, has the neck warped a bit which is very common on these student model guitars Have any of the glue joints inside or outside of the guitar begun to separate Are there scratches, dings or cracks in the wood anywhere Do the tuners hold the strings at concert pitch Etc. If yours is in like new condition with everything pefect, you might get lucky and find someone willing to go as high as 100 for it. If there are any issues such as the ones I have mentioned then you would likely do well to sell it as a wall decoration for 20 to 30. Neck on it is perfect and it came with its original canvas case. I paid 35 for it. But on a good day I could probably get 75 for it. I would say though, the case is actually worth more than the guitar. Baseball bat neck, all mahogany (the back was a SINGLE piece of wood). Sounded like a snare drum at times. Now some luthiers are rehabbing them, rebracing, and selling for silly money.
